Fun fact about LinkedIn: if you simply never answer this question, you never get ads in your messages list.

I want to research a company on Glassdoor, to know if I should apply. But to read the info there, I first have to share my experience as an employee? Wtf?

We're entering Black Mirror territory, with Siri now always recording everything and being able to rewind anything that was said? Jeeeeez.

So, the iPhone Duo. Didn't see that name coming. And holy shit, it starts at €2339 🤯 That's more expensive than a MacBook Pro. It's WAY more expensive than a MacBook Air.

Upgraded from macOS 15 to 27 and fuck me, I hate the bubbles everywhere. The tab bar in Safari is an abomination. All toolbars everywhere inspire disgust. I absolutely hate this. #macos27 #goldengate

iOS 27 is mostly “fine”, with the Liquid Glass slider all the way to the right. But it does not belong on the Mac.

The German autobahn is really cool, with the unlimited speed. Except that holy shit, every 10 kilometers one of the lanes is closed for maintenance and the speed limit is just 80 km/h. And nobody is ever actually working on the road! From the Netherlands to Austria, through Germany, we hit 14 of these roadworks. Insane.

I'll be in #Berlin for a few days, staying at Alexanderplatz. Any recommendations for food, sights to see, things to do? Any cool photo spots? I love architecture, both old and new. Fav foods are ramen, tacos, Thai, burgers. Also need good breakfast options.

I had a wonderful time (3 nights) in Berlin, and had a lot of amazing food: - Pai Thai at Le Hung - Menemen at Cafe Kiva Han - Ramen at Buya Ramen Factory - Tacos at Taquería El Oso - Banh Mi at THE BASE - A burrito at Dolores Mitte - Donuts at Brammibal's Donuts Plus lots of walking around in really nice weather. I'll definitely come back some day.

RE: https://hachyderm.io/@kevinrenskers/115894489401252725 I am still looking for a new Python, TypeScript, or Swift role. Check my website (loopwerk.io) for my portfolio. Long term project, employment, short contract, it's all good. #getfedihired #FediHire

Tim Cook is stepping down 🎉 https://arstechnica.com/apple/2026/04/john-ternus-will-replace-tim-cook-as-apple-ceo/ I think that’s pretty good news. However, he’ll become the executive chairman and will keep “engaging with policymakers around the world”. But that’s a huge part of what sucks about Apple today! The pandering to the orange moron. Sigh.

Coolify 4 is finally out of beta, hooray! 🎉 Now if only they can fix the remote backups… (https://github.com/coollabsio/coolify/issues/9514) They’re already talking about v5 but I think I’ll stay with v4 instead of endless beta releases again.

RE: https://mastodon.social/@hynek/116488429066301018 Holy shit. Watched the video and I had no idea. So besides the constant outages, GitHub is also fundamentally breaking git history. Time to move my projects if this doesn’t get a LOT better very soon.

If you use #Django REST Framework, have a look at my recent https://github.com/loopwerk/drf-action-serializers package. I’m really proud of it, and I love it quite a lot.
