For the first time ever, I no longer own an iPhone. 👀 Since the iPhone first launched, I've owned every single model. I've dabbled with other phones, such as the Pixels 1 to 3, but never fully committed for an extended period of time. But two months ago, I switched exclusively to the Pixel 7 Pro and I'm loving it. Pixel has come such a long way and largely plays better with Apple devices than before. Apple needs to step it up to woo me back. #tech #technology #android #a...

I like how everyone has gone back on Twitter just to see the new X, complain about it in a tweet, then leave again to Mastodon, Threads, or Bluesky. #socialmedia #tech #technology #twitter

Came back from NYC with a new phone 😬 The Pixel Fold isn't available in Canada this generation, but I really wanted to give it a go so I brought one back. Digging it so far. The app integrations are pretty solid. #tech #technology #google #googlepixel #pixelfold #smartphone

Okay, been using the Pixel Fold full time for a few days and I'm digging it. The hardware feels the most premium of any Pixel device and Google nailed the dimensions for a foldable. Samsung is so tall and awkward now, while the Pixel Fold's front screen is fantastic — even with one hand. My main complaint is that I can notice the step down in camera quality from my Pixel 7 Pro. I miss the extra zoom and it's baffling not to have a macro lens #tech #technology #android #g...

So I got ChatGPT Pro through my work this week and excited to dive into the new features that the paid tier provides. Any tips for how to play around with it? Any good prompts or use cases? What about plugins? #chatgpt #ai #artificialintellgence #chatgpt4 #tech #technology

Fun fact: recently I went out for dinner and a movie but forgot my wallet at home. I literally could pay and do everything with my phone without worry except ride the TTC. https://www.blogto.com/city/2023/08/tap-credit-debit-pay-ttc/ #toronto #tech #transit #ttc #publictransport #technology #Canada

Okay, I finally did it. I've created a Substack. Following what has been the death of Twitter, my personal outlet for providing analysis, commentary and opinions of what is happening in the tech world disappeared. So I've created something that lets me combine my love of writing and digging into trends with historical and contextual knowledge of my 15+ years industry experience. New piece from me: Clicks is a startup making physical keyboards for the iPhone. Gen Z, nostalgia and timing could create a perfect storm for it to succeed where Typo couldn't, meaning you might start seeing them everywhere. https://joshmcconnell.substack.com/p/gen-z-nostalgia-and-timing-could #technology #tech #iphone #Apple #substack
