got my first iOS app store release- it's an analog film companion. Yeah, there's a bunch of these, but I'd like to think I put a bit more design intentionality into this one than the other stuff currently available. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/film-pal-track-and-meter/id6760520627

I think Imgur may be the staunchest bastion of millennial cringe that’s left on the internet at this point.

man it is wild to see how far Halide has fallen. Table stakes features missing from the big 3 release while continuing to charge considerably more than the competition. I'd really love to know the story- the legal drama doesn't feel like it covers the code suddenly falling apart

RE: https://hachyderm.io/@samhenrigold/116216357692725093 The first Mac I bought was a B&W G3 tower in 2007. That's all I had money for. I loved that machine- still have it in my attic. The ability to boost the ram and storage was nice, but I felt the limitations of that GPU and CPU every day. Man the vergecast putting the 3rd gen Apple Watch as the "best" version of the product is so bad. The 3rd gen was the thickest model they ever shipped, battery life was abysmal, and it famously couldn't be updated to the final versions of watchOS without wiping the device.

I've been using Claude Code over the past month to help fabricate the film tracker I've always wanted. I've taken a pretty firm hand with the design and functionality, but this is still a pretty new experience for me. Would love to get some feedback or ideas from anyone who is interested! I'd also appreciate any reposts or shares 🙂 https://testflight.apple.com/join/sysux8PV

LLMs will cheefully build you Homer's car and even though they will get *better*, I don't think an LLM will ever have taste, either good or bad. Without a standard for good taste, the net results slide to bad very quickly, mostly because people don't know when to stop.
