#ZMAngband #traditionalroguelikes we made it to 2000 downloads! Getting everything rounded up for next update. I.e., random effects while eating corpses, finally traps on doors (@getter7seven this one's for you) More fine-tuning on all the bunch of features implemented in the last updates, which have been a lot! But worry not, bc there are more ideas in the Black Cauldron getting cooked! \,,/_

#ZMAngband #traditionalroguelikes #roguelikedev Just when you thought this variant could not get crazier... Now you can _pray_ (O_o) Praying adds flavour (without going down the religion rabbithole eh) and well... Pretty much anything can happen. Can be good, or can draw the wrath of your deities. My goodness. Unhinged. Ctrl+r gonna be the mapping for it.

#ZMAngband #traditionalroguelikes #roguelikedev a good way to celebrate one's birthday is announcing a new update to one's variant :D That being said, V.9 is updated and ready to enjoy! With lots of new stuff between Monsters, Items, and game features, such the special chance of exclusive dropping for certain monsters and the boost for immersion + fun when fighting. To be added to the existing 'Sounds and Feelings' cinematic thread. Have fun!!! Link in bio.

#ZMAngband #traditionalroguelikes #roguelikedev as we head towards the 1900 download, a fellow on reddit said my variant is stupidly easy. Too much and too powerful loot. (U are spoiled af @jake4480 xD) Me, for one, still have not gotten a win, and I play daily. So, being honest to myself, the guy is a bit right. I might have been spoiling my players. Next update will see some balancing introduced. And a boatload of work on the code under the hood, along with a fistful of smashed bugs. Soon!

#ZMAngband #traditionalroguelikes #roguelikedev squeezing the juice outta these vacation days, caffeine-fueled, metal music soundtracked, working on rewriting hardcoded features, fine-tune, recompile and run for trying out the changes. Lots of hours into the next release. Should be ready for the upcoming weekend, give or take a couple days.
