There are no such things as entry-level positions anymore. Partially because of churn, partially because of specific specialized job training in lieu of higher education, and partially because employers just can't be bothered anymore.

"I’m not one of these people who, rightly or wrongly, thinks that the atomic bombing of Japan is a moral referendum for the honor of the United States. ... “What exactly did Harry Truman know and not know about the atomic bombings?” is the kind of question that appeals to me, and as the book indicates, I think you get a very different answer to a lot of other questions once you ask it." https://www.aip.org/history/q-a-wellerstein-nuclear-history #Historiography #USHistory #...

There's a "GenAI is antisemitic because it wants me to miss the High Holidays" joke in there somewhere... GenAI doesn't know anything: it has no concept of a fact, or a calendar, or a religion, or a tradition. All it has is associations, and it has no way to 'fact-check' or correct its errors (which is doesn't actually understand) if those errors are supported by the dataset it has absorbed. #Hallucinations #Judaism
