Tbh, this is not a normal feature request but I would love to see a better cooperation between the #Pixelfed team and the 3rd part app team before introducing breaking changes: [Enhancement]: Plesse cooperate more with 3rd party apps before breaking changes · Issue #7441 · pixelfed/pixelfed https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/issues/7441

I understand that #Mastodon don't upload more than 4 pictures. But it's super annoying, that Mastodon only federates 4 pictures. Not more. While all other software, like #Pixelfed, Holos and so on, can have more. this sucks tbh.

#fcbvfb #vegan #whatveganseat #veganImStadion #vegan #fuasboi #fcbayern #fcbayernmuenchen

On the next #diday I will move my #bsky Account from the US Server to #eurosky. What i'm not yet aware of: Beside of the people I already follow, will the "Discover" timelines feed through eurosky be different to what it is now? As there is no local-timeline (like in the Fediverse), there should be, beside of maybe the "Discover" timeline Or is the only difference only where everything is hosted and the "Discover" timeline is exac...

@dansup@mastodon.social is there a way for me as Pixelfed admin to block a spam account completely on my instance? Now some Pixelfed.social fake support accounts are spamming In the admin section I have only seen this, which makes no sense. This is the original post where it's reported https://punk.photos/p/unknownpseudoartist/992515291836854656 Thx a lot. Cc: @unknownpseudoartist@musician.social @unknownpseudoartist@punk.photos

Hello @dansup@mastodon.social a user on pixelfed.social told me, that he can't find any user which is at the punkstodon.de server. I tried it with @punxsocial@punkstodon.de and @BackToFuture@punkstodon.de and @rwaschbaer@punkstodon.de but i was not able to find any of these with my Pixelfed.social account. Can you please check if you did a server ban? And if yes, why? Thx for your help. Cc: @admin@punkstodon.de

@dansup@mastodon.social is in the next Pixelfed release a bugfix about the peertube issue? It makes no sense, that #Peertube videos are not federated, but #Loops video are, they could even be played in #Pixelfed directly... Even if one is your project, they should be both treated equal. And yes, federating the complete video is too much, but the preview image and the link would be a minimum (for me) Federation not working with Peertube · Issue #4056 · pixelfed/pixelfed https://github.com/p...

Mastodon collections: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/blob/main/app%2Fmodels%2Fcollection.rb#L25 MAX_ITEMS = 25 Has anyone tried what happens if you change that to 50? Everything still working? I really hope #pixelfed, #peertube and #gancio support this soon #mastodon #collections #mastodoncollections #starterpacks

I really like the new #mastodon #collections - I can't wait to be able to add #pixelfed accounts too. and I'm wondering, I thought, it will work with #loops account already @dansup@mastodon.social ? But even I have the setting set to "permission required" I can't add myself .

Loops question: Is there any reason, why some of the videos don't have a "more" (description) button? Anything to do with landscape vs potrait videos? Or because there are hashtags in it? One of the killer features from @HolosSocial@mastodon.social is for me, that you can use your own domain. This means, as a band, author etc you can promote everywhere your handle with @name@my_own_domain.tld This is so perfect. This means your handle will still be correct if the instance you chose in the beginning is not alive anymore. I would love to see this feature in #Mastodon, #Pixelfed #loops #peertube and the #bridge @Mastodon@mastodon.social @dansup@mastodon.social 1/3

At the moment there are monthly workshops everywhere in Germany, to tell people to switch from BigTech to ethical ones. I will also do a workshop for the praising the Fediverse in February. Even I'm a #pixelfedadmin, I have to tell the people to chose #Mastodon over #Pixelfed, as Pixelfed is so buggy, that I don't want to frustrate them. The https://di.day movement at the moment would be a good chance for Pixelfed - but not as it is now, with no updates since September. @dans...

tl;dr: free / open source Buffer.io alternatives: I asked before but I ask again: is there a free tool, similar to buffer.io (#opensource?) where you have to post only ONCE and it's delivered to Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Threads, Pixelfed, #bluesky...? I try to convince people since 9 month to #JoinTheFediverse, all of them say: "I don't have time/energy to post to another medium" #multiposting #socialmedia #facebook #instagram #threads #meta #mastodon...
