Finally put a #noAI tag on my live coding stream footer (my "Lower Third" overlay). Now I can just point and don't have to talk about why I'm not talking about "AI".

@RuthMalan@mastodon.social To me, the friction that comes from disagreement (and often, misunderstandings) is where the magic in human collaboration comes from. LLMs (in whatever form) don’t have a point of view (because they are manifestations of statistics) and therefore are easily “pushed around”, providing no useful friction on their own.

Is it acceptable to use “event-sourcing-pilled”?? Cuz when I look at the supposed simplicity of using ORMs, I can’t help but think we’ve gotten so used to the hidden (and visible!) complexity that we don’t see it anymore. And then event-sourcing looks so much simpler in comparison.

My train just left Innsbruck Hbf on my way from Zürich to Vienna. Had a nice 24 hours in Zürich meeting with @samir and @scordio

It's weird I'm editing this text and sentences with the structure "You have to do this thing in order to achieve this goal" seems more confusing than "In order to achieve this goal, you have to do this thing". And the reason it's weird, is I've found myself writing the same kinds of sentences. Now I switch them around so it's goal-then-method. Am I wrong? Is method-then-goal better? #AmEditing
