Cheating from Milan. The assistant is supposed to place the mermaid according to the driver's directions, not their own judgement. #TramEM

I've just renamed my garden pond "Lake Trump".

I'm getting fed up with urban foxes dragging pond weed out of my pond. Wondering if an electric fence might work as a visually unobtrusive way to protect it.

Just picked a 350 g pear off one of the trees in my garden. #Garden #HomeGrown

I got today's #BBCRadio3 "morning stretch" instantly. I usually can't get it at all.

Whenever a politician (or similar) claims "I've done nothing wrong" I'm reminded of my dad's perfect response: "So why did you stop doing it when you were found out?".

RE: https://mstdn.social/@jim_easterbrook/117240696506074184 This got more attention than I expected. Over 300 boosts and 450 favourites, well more than anything else I've ever posted.

Spent an hour or more today trying to configure dnsmasq on my NAS to give ipv6 addresses for local machines before I realised that I hadn't enabled ipv6 on the NAS. I'm glad I don't do this for a living.

Today I learned that the best known Albinoni piece isn't actually by Albinoni.

I occasionally buy frozen food which is delivered in biodegradable packaging - sheepswool insulation in a compostable "plastic" bag. I've been putting both on my compost heap as instructed. Today I started digging out compost from the old heap (I have a two heap rotation) and some of that packaging is still very much intact. I just fling it in the new heap for a second go, but is there any way to make it rot faster? #Garden #Compost

I've just set up a new topping up system for my pond, to replace the previous gravity drip feed from my water butts. A 12 V peristaltic pump in a 3D printed mount is installed inside the garage, with 4 mm hoses from the water butts and to the pond. A time switch runs it for ½ an hour every 3 hours, to be adjusted as needed. #Garden #Pond

I'm not following #EMFCamp posts, but a lot of people I follow are posting about it. I keep thinking it's the sort of thing I (or a younger me) might enjoy, but then I remember it's all about interacting with people.

Just had probably my shortest ever dental appointment. I'm pleased that the dentist noticed my gums are looking much healthier than 6 months ago. I bought an electric toothbrush soon after the last check up and it has really made a difference. Less impressed that the dentist thought I was due for some X-rays, until I reminded him that he did a set last time. #Dentist

Saw some broad-winged damselflies on my walk this afternoon, I think a male doing a courtship display to a female. #Damselfly #Nature https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calopterygidae
