RE: https://mastodon.social/@CuratedHackerNews/116698306626237113 Hmm. Definitely have had some mixed feelings on using conventional commits, maybe I’ll try mixing it up sometime. I do really like automatic changelogs tho because I really don’t want to write those lol.

Yay, replaced the 3 fixtures on our garage with single bulb ones so can avoid replacing 9 damn candelabra bulbs. Wish I had grabbed some wago connectors tho. Going to try some Govee filament Edison bulbs in them. #homeimprovement

Unsure if friend and I are cursed or people who frequently play multiplayer in PC games just put up with the bullshit that is PC gaming? Constantly some issue is delaying is getting started or derailing the night. #gaming #pcgaming

Seems KRDP despite being included in Fedora KDE plasma does not work out of box? At least not for me lol. Pam auth no worky and non-Pam auth fell on its face too with no clear reason so far (I’d probably have to crank logging to find out). Sigh. #linux #kde

@angrylinus I’ll have to try that out! Forgot about it

@angrylinus yeah I’ll double check there isn’t persistent permission trick for it otherwise may see if I can fix krdp. Just seems weird krdp is broken out of box on fedora for me…

Well that sucks. My NAS NFS share for my audiobooks is underreporting the contents when a read directory is issued. The actual file system reports correctly. Sigh. Do I switch to SMB? Not sure there’s an obvious fix. #homelab #nfs #nas

Decided to try blogging again, we’ll see how it goes as with any project, game, etc and ADHD I may vanish for months and maybe return to it later lol. https://knope.dev/blog/hello-there/ #blog #homelab #selfhosted

Gave up on my QNAP NAS’s NFS, kept randomly shorting directory listings so moved homelab shit to SMB 🫤 no clue what it’s deal but it sucks. #homelab #nas

@adam reminds me of this video I was watching recently but haven’t finished yet. Specially how shame does not really work against humans at all, as you’re basically stating in your thread as well. Just pushes people away, or hiding the action etc. https://youtu.be/y85nqc2zm7M?si=zcJPlvdFf2hWinSB

@adam yeah it’s really good so far, I should finish it lol. It’s a bit long.

Oopsie doodles. That was a fun spam of homelab notifications to get. I hadn’t gotten to adding monitoring to proxmox yet lol. Guess I should. The k3s cluster probably would’ve handled it better if I had extra space on the rest of the nodes. Doh. #proxmox #homelab #kubernetes
