    Tethering to my phone sucks ass for some reason.     My conspiracy theory is that a contributing reason we&#39;ve lost the war on spam is that platforms (e.g. Google, Apple) have an interest in taking on a role as a your personal bouncer because it makes it more difficult to leave their walled garden You basically can&#39;t self-host an email server these days. Having a phone line is useless if you don&#39;t have spam call protection from a major company. This is a bad situation we&#39;ve found ourselves in
