  @jasongregori You can. It doesn't require AnyCancellable, just a class with a `private let task: Task<...>` property will do the trick. Override `deinit` to add `task.cancel()`. And inside `init`, where you create your task, just wrap the Observations sequence and implement correct weak referencing in exactly one place and encourage your teammates to use this wrapper instead of Observations directly.

  @mattiem Would you be available to chat sometime (for 20~30mins) about what I think is a major concurrency bug in Swift? I think child task cancellation is broken.   Reminiscing about this old (cobwebbed) app launch website https://jaredsinclair.com/archived-unread/ which is, like, 12 years old now? I was proud of the CSS simulated iPhone and iPad, and am still surprised that it was possible.

  Every single instagram account I ever created, from the original real one (deleted after Facebook bought them) to various test and skunkworks accounts over the years, has been receiving “forgot my password” emails for the last week. Multiple emails each. There must be a systematic attack going on.
