My daughter was advised/encouraged by their teacher to take a Linux (sic) command line course. She was enjoying it until she unexpectedly hit a paywall at chapter 4 (of 6). Can you recommend a free as in freedom GNU/Linux command-line course or tutorial? #askfedi #dtv

@joeposaurus@chaos.social @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de @statichost@mastodon.social Good for you. I wish you would have done it to move away from proprietary software to open source, and away from big Tech to cooperatives. To me the US/European angle is not really helping.

I really don't get the whole idea of the cookie popups on websites. I mean, everyone always chooses for: essential cookies only? I do, anyway. Some sites even say: "Don't you want a functional site?", to which I always silently reply: "Knowing that everyone disables all optional cookies anyway, don't you want (to build) to have a functional site?" I don't care all that much if your site is broken, it's your site, you...

@studioplantaardig
