I appreciate that AliExpress wants to save me $2, but I'm not sure if I have to buy an extra 0 items, or 1,070,003 extra items π€ #AliExpress

IMHO, getting a colour-matched chain isn't really worth it π€· Too subtle. I don't regret it, but I don't think I'd ever bother again (unless, as in this case, AliExpress lines up multiple offers and discounts so that it's cheaper to buy a colourful chain than a boring chainπ€ͺ) #BikeTooter

At the lakeside, reading. I overhear: 1: "Oh, he's friendly!π" 2: "Mine, too!π" 1: "Stop, Handbag Yapster1" 2: "Stop, Handbag Yapster2" 1: "STOP! STOP!" 2: "STOP! STOP!" Psycho pretend dogs 1 & 2 continue to loudly and frantically disembowel each other, while simultaneously forcing their owners into an impromptu public Shibari session, courtesy of those stupid extending leashes. 1: "They're NEVER like this!" 2: &q...

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org We had a woodburning stove when I was growing up. The treatment for my asthma was early morning swimming every day until I could swim a mile. π₯Ά The Dr also said that people grow out of asthma at 7 year intervals; 7, 14, 21 etc. So, when I left home to share a flat with a mate, and lived on microwaved pizza, being 21 was *obviously* what cured my asthma π

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social You'll never make it as a tech bro β¦ The proper response is to identify a competing niche, and get governments to throw buckets of money at you. In this case, if someone is launching sunlight-as-a-service, clearly everyone who isn't in their target market must be in the market for darkness-as-a-service. This would just need 58,001 huge satellites which could be positioned to block either the direct or reflected sunlight from the 58k Reflect Orbital bozo...

New bike project, as suggested by AliExpress: Fit a spoke protector disc to my FRONT wheel, in case the chain breaks, comes off, whips forward, and entangles itself in the spokes of the front wheel. π€― #BikeTooter

I was taken aback to read the handwritten note from a librarian, explaining the system problem with attempting to borrow a DVD was: "because it hadden been borrow in a long wile" π€― I thought librarians were supposed to be better than average with words.

Is there any need to trim this excess molding flash from the rim of these tyres? Cheap tyres for a cheap bike, running butyl inner tubes. I'm guessing "don't bother", but wondered if there was any chance of it getting bunched up and rubbing the tube? But then, it's just thin rubber against rubber, like the whole tube against tyre β¦ π€ #BikeTooter

Finally annoyed enough by YouTube's constant, repeated, multi-level attempts to get me to log in, I tried the SBS app on my TV, and found some Studio Ghibli movies! π Take that, YT! You've enshittified yourself in the foot!
