  I agree with you in so far as the luddites were not enlightened ideological opponents to technology. While it’s true that it would be foolish to disregard history i don’t think the loom is analogous to generative AI, and the luddites aren’t really illuminating here. The evidence thus far is that the current generation of AI is an incremental improvement in productivity in the vast majority of industries.
