  I haven't had much to say as of late. I think this is because I am just overwhelmed from the inundation of news and information. I don't really know what to think anymore and often feel like I am living in survival mode. I've lost the belief that I will ever thrive again. Life in the United States is such that I will, for the rest of my life, will just barely have my head above water.

  I am very much against the #deathpenalty. While I loathe Christa Pike for what she's done and who she is, the state, i.e. Tennessee, has no business committing murder. The whole biblical tooth for a tooth and an eye for an eye justification is bullshit. The bible also says that "And God said, vengeance shall be mine." It's time for religion to die. Thankfully, I am an #atheist.

  I have a life update: My ex begged me to take her back. I don't know quite how I feel because I was hurt so badly. She just upped and left last month and now she wants to reconcile!? I think I am going to have to process this some. My inclination is to say, "No thanks." She even offered to do couples therapy but I have a feeling it's just manipulation. I have a lot to ponder.

  One thing I learned about myself through therapy is that I am actually an attractive and desirable guy. I don't need to go back to my ex simply because I believe nobody else will want to be with me. To be fair, my ex did not make me feel this way. This was solely my own insecurity.

  I have 2 immediate needs right now, one of which is a new bed and the other a car. I need a better bed first because the one I have hurts my back and is too low. I also need a new mattress as well.   As much as I dislike being a security guard, I do have to say that it is nice being able to check out completely once I clock out. Unlike the #corporatelife, once I can clock out I can actually not think about work. That's one of the niceties of a more basic job. I don't miss the 2am calls that this system or that system is down. I am also paid for all time worked. Not this salaried bullshit.

  I’m hoping someone out there can help me or direct me to a resource about setting up WireGuard on OPNsense. I’m behind CGNAT and want to remotely access my home network so I have a cloud VPS.   Public transportation in Delaware is an absolute quagmire. I depend on it and there’s no accountability for drivers that show up 10 minutes or more early or very late. They get a slap on the wrist and a , “Don’t do that again! Bad!” Meanwhile the consequences for me are real. I face punishment for being late. To avoid being late, I must take Uber or Lyft.   Just got the official word down the pike that starting 1 June, my hours at work will be reduced to 16 hours a week on the weekends. I work in security and I was splitting my time between two sites for a total of 32 hours. This is going to hurt. I have a lead driving for the VGM Fleet under Uber. It pays $23 an hour under 1099 and no benefits. I hate the US of A. We're the shit hole country.

  I am just curious for all you folks that run home computer labs. How do y'all handle DNS? I use dnsmasq because it is pretty powerful and does dynamic DNS automagically. #homenetworking #homelab
