We're testing an LLM inference API. It’s an open-weight model, free to use and comes with no SLAs. Try your own use cases and tell us what works and what doesn't. Your feedback can shape what we build next. No promises that this becomes a permanent product, but that's exactly what an experiment is all about 🙌 https://htznr.li/xprmnts_ms

Today is the day if you're also celebrating #SysAdminDay at the office today, maybe trade the hug for a coffee and a sincere "thank you." Shoutout to the people who turn it off and on again on a professional level!

One of the best things about self-hosting: you decide what's worth automating. CPX12, Node-RED, and an idea are enough to turn an everyday task into a working automation. Our smallest VPS handles dozens of flows whether for home automation, industrial control systems or anything in between. Entry-level ≠ underpowered Just one example of what you can do with our entry-level cloud server. Explore more here: htznr.li/sh6_ms

A quiet village near Berlin is home to one of our biggest renewable energy projects. Ever wondered what it takes to build a solar park from the ground up? Watch it in our latest #TkkBits. https://htznr.li/buildingasolarpark

Infrastructure goes beyond the data center. We not only build the infrastructure behind our services ourselves, but also extend this approach to renewable energy by installing large-scale solar parks with integrated battery storage systems. The solar park in Gumtow is a step toward our goal of feeding more renewable energy into the grid than all of our data centers combined consume. Once completed, it will generate around 90 GWh annually. #GlobalEnergyIndependenceDay

Almost all code lives on GitHub or GitLab these days. Convenient, but your whole workflow runs on infrastructure you don't control. By self-hosting Forgejo, a free, #OpenSource Git platform, on a small VPS you can change that. You get repos, pull requests, issue tracking, teams and it runs comfortably on modest hardware. Then your code stays for sure where you put it. https://htznr.li/sh4_ms

Self-hosting rarely starts with expertise. It starts with curiosity. You don't have to know everything before you start. Most people begin with a single service they want to run on their own terms and learn from there. Running your own infrastructure has become much easier than it used to be. Better tooling, better documentation, and strong communities have lowered the barriers significantly. 7 tips to get you started 👇 For more details, check out https://htznr.li/sh2_ms

Tooling has caught up & self-hosting isn’t niche anymore. Running your own infra means that you get control over how things deploy, ownership of your data and runtime, and also monthly capped costs. Coolify handles builds, deploys, environments, and rollbacks. You can run it with a Hetzner Cloud VPS by making use of our one-click app and you’ve got your own deployment platform in minutes. Our data center parks are built in-house row by row, one DC at a time. We design not just the buildings, but the whole concept behind them, from planning to operating, all with a clear focus on energy efficiency.

Last month, we gave people a rare look behind the scenes 👀 We opened the doors of our data center in Nuremberg for guided tours organized together with the Bürgerverein Nürnberger Westen. The strong interest showed just how curious many people are about the infrastructure that powers so much of our everyday digital lives, even though it usually remains out of sight. Thank you to everyone who joined & shared their curiosity with us!
