“The land is currently under the occupation of Moroccan forces who moved into Western Sahara in 1975 in violation of a landmark decision by the International Court of Justice and a series of United Nations Security Council resolutions which have called for the withdrawal of foreign forces and the recognition of the right of the people of Western Sahara for self-determination.” https://truthout.org/articles/the-odyssey-is-facing-a-boycott-for-filming-in-occupied-western-sahara/ #WesternSahara #...

Listening to song. Contemplating genocide. The tears are back now. Planning a drawing. Complicity of the world. The tears are still here. In a silence now. The exhaustion within me. The fight must go on.

Me of 10 years ago might have been a little more ecstatic about Apple’s 50th anniversary. I definitely would have been 20 years ago. #Apple50

They have onboard external video of the rocket‽ Why are they showing only after the most interesting parts of the launch? Watching the crowd watching the launch was slightly underwhelming. #Artemis2 #NASA

I watch the Apollo 11 documentary recently. It’s the one that uses primarily footage shot around the time of the first moon landing and walk in 1969. I’m so used to the depiction of that time period being all white people, but looking at B-roll of crowds of folks in Florida who came to watch this giant rocket start its journey to the moon, it was surprising to see the diversity of faces (yes, still mostly white), but compared to TV I watched in the 80s, it was practically inclusive! #BlackFedi...

What happens if you move a file into a folder that is currently being moved (mv command) between drives (it’s multiple gigabytes, so takes a while)? Seems there’s a good chance it’s going to get deleted (or is that only if you’re using SSHFS?). #Debian #SSHFS #Linux

I just realized that the reason some crappy DVD cases exist (the kind where you can’t get the disk out without breaking it in half) might be due to patents. Poor design is also not off the table. #DVDs
