I left work early today for a hike (because I had some weekend work) and it was *so* worth it. Just look at these views! I want to live on top of a mountain like this. Imagine all the stars you could see at night!?!? #hiking #mosstodon #outdoors #nature #justkeepmoving #nh #mountains #selt

  Some photos from yesterday’s hike, including a gorgeous orange butterfly I saw right near the end of the trail. I hiked about 5.15 km in 1h20m with 220m elevation gain. #hiking #green #mountain #justkeepmoving #outdoors #nature #butterflies #mosstodon #nh #newhampshire

Where in the world did Tuesday go?! Feels like I just got up and now it’s bedtime. Because I am tired and have been going nonstop all day.

Upside: got some 10G connections in the homelab now. Downside: DNS got in the way. It's always DNS. I got some more work to do to sync my DNS servers and their records. Time for some Terraform!

I don’t know why, but Mezcal and Amaro Montenegro work so well together in a drink.

Time to refresh the home lab NAS since I don't think HDD prices are getting better anytime soon and my current NAS is 6 or 7 years old. I found some used disks for $25/TB which, at current rates, is pretty good. This also lets me move away from Synology and I'm probably going with TrueNAS this time around with new hardware for the primary system. #homelab #nas #truenas #synology #hardware #hdd #reuse

My AV receiver somehow knows it has a firmware update. It has no network connection enabled, so I have no idea how it figured this out.

Me, going into the halftime for the 3rd place match between England and France: well this is a blowout. I don't like sports games that are one-sided, it's boring. France: hold my beer... France has come back with a vengeance in this game and I am here for it. They made 4 substitutions at the half and it is absolutely paying off. #football #worldcup #soccer #copamundialFIFA

Finally beat a run on Risk of Rain 2! I know there’s more to explore since the wiki has some side quest info, but it felt good to finish a run. I think next time I want to see about artifacts and maybe learn more about looping. Eventually I’ll get into DLCs but for now, I have enough to explore. #riskofrain2 #gaming #pcgaming #gamingonlinux

Upside: Trader Joe's has Ponzu sauce again! Downside: they rearranged some things in the store so now everything is all mixed up. But Ponzu sauce is back!

There’s a thunderstorm ripping through NH tonight and it’s putting on quite a light show. I’m seeing lightning every few seconds, and have been for around half an hour now. It seems like it’s been constant and it’s only a matter of time before it passes over my area. Then maybe it’ll cool down a few degrees? That’d be nice. #nhwx #weather #storms #heatwave

One of these years macOS Reminders will be smarter. This is not that year. I wish there was a way to turn off date suggestions for numbers unless you use a specific day of the week or a date with a month. Insert shaking hands meme here where Reminders and Excel are asking: is this a date? Let me format that for you!

Apple: raises prices across most of its lineup because of RAM shortages across the globe Me, looking at my 3-year old M2 MacBook Pro: this is a *really* good time to renew AppleCare on an annual basis
