In news I am now ready to share: Unfortunately one of our dogs passed away last week, and it's taken a bit of a toll on me. I'm working on an obituary for him, because there are a lot of wonderful memories to share.

Nintendo Switch 1 -> mostly compatible with all USBC docks :halfy_happy: Valve Steam Deck -> compatible with all USBC -> HDMI things I've thrown at it. :halfy_hungry: Nintendo Switch 2 -> seems to work with pretty much ONLY the official dock :halfy_angry: Nintendo please I really just want to use one dock with my TV. You are using a USB-C connector and outputting HDMI. Why be like this?

I enjoy that Discord's april fools was amounting to putting in a horrible ad banner that had such poor design cohesion that I thought the discord package had been sabotaged. Grumpy man n all that, but surely if you are gonna do a joke then at least make it look plausible.

I like that on the fediverse there is a whole spectrum of websites between "this website is just standard HTML, no js and maybe a stylesheet if your lucky" all the way to "my website is a full featured desktop environment". The variety is awesome, I just don't know which side to plant my flag in

There is something really wrong with the world when citizens of one country vote for a leader, who happens to be a criminal, corrupt, and we're still waiting to hear what the other charges are going to be. And the rest of the world seems to be paying that price for it. I get the mechanics, but on paper it sounds mad.
