After waiting 37 minutes it logged me in and then said I was disconnected. How dare their beta servers not work perfectly.

With the upcoming release of classic inspired World of Warcraft: Forever, Thimbleweed Park 2 will be delayed indefinitely. Thank you for your patience.

With Meta perv glasses, Apple new always listening AI watch and Smart TVs tracking everything you watch, I fear that all my future meetings will be conducted naked in a Faraday cage.

How are steam keys generated? 1. Randomly generate a key and if it's taken, generate another one and loop. 2. There is a database of (millions) available keys, when it runs out make more with step 1. 3. Key aren't random, it's a algorithm (seems dangerous if figured out). 4. Something I haven't thought of because I'm just a simple game designer.

Thimbleweed Park was 10 years ahead on the whole AI thing. The key is Tron Tube technology.

Fun fact: 3/4 of the water produced by the USS Enterprise is used to cool the computers during AI training, not to keep the crew alive.

I've spent the last 3 days writing unit tests, because like eating potato chips, you can't write just one.

The latest Terrible Toybox Contractor agreement has a 218 word section about how you can't use AI and it was written by a real life human lawyer, so you know I'm serious. AI is a cancer to the creative process and I do consider programing to be a creative process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeCSzEtZcUw

Vibe coding is like coding when your stoned. "Yeah dude, this code is awesome."

If you use AI to generate any code or data and it's wrong, I will hold you responsible as if you'd done it yourself.

There are some narrow and very specific uses for AI. Pretending to be a human to do customer support is not one of them. I spent 20 minutes hopelessly confusing a AI customer support agent until it connected me to a human and they solved my problem in 15 secs. Don't tell 10 year old me this, but the future actually sucks.

Multi-level Dungeons with stairs. You can also make prefabs of a collection of objects and put them in the dungeon as a "set piece". The wooden stairs work that way. It's prefab of 4 separate objects and all get placed as one. A height map is auto-made from the 3d model so you can walk up the stairs. No special logic.

I'm one step ahead of the 2038 Catastrophe. I've converted to using 33 bit ints.

I gave up on using physics to define the dungeon, I spent a day screwing with it (math is stupid) so I decided for my use-case, a simple height map works better. I don't have rooms under rooms so this was much easier. #raylib

If I walk into a bar and order a drink I expect them to ask for ID to prove my age. If I walk into a McDonalds and buy a Big Mac I would not expect them to ask for ID to check my age and if they did I would not expect them to photocopy it and give it to Fred to keep in his poorly locked file cabinet.

I upgraded to Raylib 6.0 and everything broke. Looking for a good guide to updating to 6.0. Yet to find it. Looks like a lot in animation has been removed/changed? #raylib

Found my old S100 graphics card I got when I was 11. 128x128 resolution (64x64 if you wanted 16 colors). Made a lot of games with this in Z80 asm. I wrote a RPG game before I knew what RPG games were. Sending my old CP/M floppies to @vhamm to see if he get the data off them. I'm sure there is game design gold in there.

Spent the day messing around with raylib. Pretty impressive. It will load and display the 3d models from @kenney.
