Here early, but we bagged one of the seats on the steps. Most civilised. My back will thank me for that later. Anna Calvi and David Byrne. So looking forward to it.

I've uploaded a couple of single tracks from the 3rd W3dn35day livestream I did a few weeks back, ready for some promo around Agatewards. At about 2:10 into Old Roä, Youtube decides to have a crack at auto captioning some of the Lincolnshire dialect. Seriously thinking about using them as surreal lyrics at some point... https://youtu.be/qyMZPAWaVJo

Sorting merch out tonight. Done black and and asphalt grey, but I'm quite taken with this Forest Green. Any other colour requests? #merch #comingsoon #electronicmusic

The follow-up track, Shedbuilding, didn’t do as well for Elvis Costello as Shipbuilding did.

Studio Gribbly back in live mode. Of course, as we're discussing a Launch Gig for Agatewards, I'm considering learning new songs. As a great man once said. "You do it to yourself, you do..."

Absolutely horrendous service and customer support from DPD today. Parcel wasn’t attempted to be delivered & then all my attempts to actually talk to someone about it through DPD support channels was an object lesson in enshittifacation. Grumpy.

Is this allowed? Using one of my songs for #Tunetuesday #Travelsongs ? Written around a field recording on the Adelaide Metro when I used to commute in from Largs Bay. Kinda Kraftwerk-y in influence - but if you like it (or know someone who may), please boost... https://mirlo.space/gribbles/release/australia-1-adelaide/tracks/27909

Slipping out a little live mini-album ahead of BCF. It's PWYW, but all proceeds will go towards replacing the power amp at the Old Nick Theatre that died (though quite gracefully, it must be said) on the night of the gig. https://gribbles.bandcamp.com/album/gribbles-live-at-the-old-nick-theatre-12-9-24 #electronicmusic #electronica @electronicmusic@a.gup.pe #lincolnshire #dialect #Gainsborough

Not the best start to the Bank Holiday Weekend. Man-flu kicked in on Friday (went to bed at 5:15pm!!), so yesterday was a write off. Today is a little better, but I've a head full of cotton wool and tinnitus, and weirdly someone seems to have nudged my internal stereo balance setting a little to the right. 🫤 So much for my plans of working the new live set for #NHAM live on the 21st - hoping tomorrow's head will be a little bit clearer. So, today is going to be an arty day. I can po...

This is a beautiful, chilled mix for a Sunday. Just listened to it as I'm pottering around setting up the day. Stick it on. It's lovely. @trevlad@mastodon.world has a good ear. In a world of algorithmic playlists we need curators like him. https://www.mixcloud.com/djsofabed/raining-f%C3%AAtes-urge/

This is a Public. Service. Announcement. ~~With guitars~~ Back up your files, folks. Then make sure you occasionally check your backups Just had an interesting episode with GDrive, which fell into the 'all's well that ends well' bucket - but caused some grumpy gribbles action for a while.

Long overdue, but I've brought @mirlo up to date with my back catalogue. And it's come on quite a bit since I last spent any serious time there - so much so that I'm making it my primary release store alongside Bandcamp. Will finesse things a bit more over the next few days... https://mirlo.space/gribbles/releases #mirlo #electronicmusic #electronica

I've done a 'music only' cut of my 3rd W3dn35day live-streamed gig from last night. Relive the highs and the lows, or share with the folk unfortunate enough to have missed it 😉 (But seriously - boosts would be very much appreciated to spread the word...) Well. That was a blast. Thanks to everyone who came along to have a bit of a listen. I really appreciate your support. I managed to get a recording, so will pop it up somewhere. I'll also crop & pop a couple on TIBtv - anyone have a favourite...?

I can’t decide whether putting my back out will be a distraction from work or work will be a distraction from putting my back out. Either way… Ouch.

That feeling when you realise you're going to be working into the evening/night to finish the stuff you said you do today. And you feel all the plans you had for doing nice, creative stuff just melt away. Like tears in rain.
