After lambasting a company for their account deletion process because they started enforcing ID verification, I just had to vent a little, closing my &quot;satisfaction survey&quot; with: Yes. I know your company is only &quot;following government doctrine&quot;. But unquestioning acquiescence to a desperately flawed strategy, that is more about population control than personal safety is pathetic. Is it just me? The cold-calling salesman that came to my door seemed genuinely nonplussed by my assertion that I intend to fulfil the commitment to a contract I signed up to, for a service that I&#39;m perfectly happy with*. Even in spite of his airy claim of a cheaper, faster service *I will bargain hard come renewal time, but until then I&#39;ll stick with what I have
