I want to give an shoutout to the trans people I’ve interviewed in order to maintain accuracy. I can only hope to write a character that accurately describes their experiences! 🏳️‍⚧️ The prologue to Ascendants: Volume 1 should be out by next month, stay tuned! https://the-ascendants.ghost.io

Wrote some thoughts on Glaxo, these are some of my first impressions. I've never read the source material, so I'm judging this movie (and other adaptations) solely on their production value, acting, and the way they're able to present their main ideas on the big screen itself. #tiff #tiff26 #tiff2026 [2/7] https://boxd.it/gi54up

Was going through some stuff before moving and I found this bad boy in an attic… my family’s first computer! The years haven’t been kind to it, and I have no idea if it’ll be able to turn on. Only one way to find out! #emac #apple #crt

Instead of taking time to relax this weekend after a big move, I’ve decided to go to #mlh #hackcon2026. Apparently, the rest of my hackathon team isn’t able to make it, so I’ll be representing my school by myself. I’m exhausted but I’m ready for it! [Day 1 🧵]

Finished my breakfast and made it to the opening ceremony. The opening talk covers the issue of saturation in the CS field and the gap between education and real-world experience. The speaker states that software engineering is at an all time high, but there’s a skills gap. The speaker makes the case that Hackathons and “building in public” (build projects for people to see) are ways to overcome the employment issue and put yourself out there. It’s time for #mlh #hackcon2026 [Day 2 🧵]

#mlh #hackcon2026 has officially come to an end. No thread today. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait to tell the team about all the ideas that were presented here!

So, I'm late to the substack party when it comes to the whole "nazi" thing. Seems like a good idea to switch hosting platforms to publish the story I'm working on. My friends also agree it's a good thing to do. I'll post on tumblr for now while I figure out the self-hosting part with ghost. [1/2]

I'm making a linktree because I think with self-hosting, the SEO is pretty bad. Putting all my links in one place in something that is easily searchable by google i probably a better way to prevent myself from being siloed on the fediverse and the larger internet in general.

"Buffalo and Erie County’s tourism authority, before the pandemic Canadians, made up 35-45 per cent of overall visits to Erie County, but by the end of 2025, year-over-year traffic at western New York border crossings was down 18 per cent, a decline that continued into 2026." I remember hearing that Buffalonians were taking the initiative to visit Canada during these times, instead of the other way around. I can't blame Canadians for boycotting in any capacity. https:/...

New #blog post! “Reflecting on Orphan Black, 13 years later.” It’s basically a small aside to acknowledge one of my favorite shows of all time. I also try not to give away any spoilers, so I just include the general themes of the show. I just hope that now that the show is on US streaming services, more people can watch the show, and hopefully it can get the recognition it deserves! #CloneClub https://ginadotexe.blog/post/813984418669740032/reflecting-on-orphan-black-13-years-later
