  Small update on a huge big fat upcoming update: The new OpenType and text shaping support is almost ready to be released. I'm ironing out some wrinkles in advanced GPOS support, but overall this is working very well, and I am extremely excited to put this out soon. Ongoing kudos to @khaled for contributing essential functionality and providing test cases and domain expertise.

  OMG I did it. There is a new Fontra release chock-full of OpenType goodness.   For the editor and the font overview, Fontra uses the URL fragment to store certain aspects of the UI (text string, selection, zoom, location, etc). I've made a little tool that helps me debug Fontra's URL fragment, and I though it would be nice to share. https://fontra.github.io/fontra-url-inspector/

  Interesting bug reported on Discord the other day: on Windows, if the font files are in a OneDrive folder, OneDrive will bump the modification time when syncing a changed file , causing Fontra to receive another "file changed" event, making it think the file was changed externally, although it hasn't really, making it reload the data associated with the file. Fixed in the latest release: https://github.com/fontra/fontra-pak/releases

  Help Wanted: Windows users seem to prefer a proper installer over a loose .exe from a .zip archive. I'm not enough of a Windows user/developer to make this a reality. Can I nerd-snipe anyone into contributing? https://github.com/fontra/fontra-pak/issues/209
