and you can replicate that nowadays with an RP2040. Hell, the newer Pi models already kinda do that with the RP1 handling GPIO (among other things)

Why are you not using reproducible, read only rootfs with separately mounted data partitions?

Gotta go back a little further, Victorian women already had vibrators (although quite large contraptions, and usually not kept at home but provided as a service by certain gentlemen to "reduce female hysteria"). Hell, the oldest dildo found by archaeologists goes back some 30 thousand years?

Resist and find other ways to do the thing... which is literally what kids do. Do you want your kids to be on Roblox with your knowledge and occasional oversight, or without your knowledge at all, without any parental control?

Compared to some dark romance? Sure. I mean, very, very few things will top the femur scene in I Will Break You (the trigger warnings specifying "inappropriate use of thigh bone" were NOT joking), so compared, indeed tame. But for your average non-smut reader, there's a lot of emphasis on... milking. Though still not as full of smut as e.g. Kiss Of The Basilisk. Which is like, 98% pure porn.

At that point, why bother with the setup of samba shares and nextcloud or syncthing or whatever else and not use VaultWarden with its built in sync over WireGuard/TailScale?

At that quality of MP3 you'd really need either a track that specifically pushes the limits of the codec on technicalities, or a one in a million hearing + high precision monitors. Albeit FLAC is generally a better option still because it compresses things losslessly, reducing raw file size 50-70% (comparable to MP3 at 128kbps bitrate) and is a royalty-free, meaning it can be freely implemented as a hardware codec. For example, a bunch of microcontrollers in the ESP32 family have built i...

Biometrics are an issue because in most jurisdictions (not just the US but globally), you can't be coerced to provide your password/passcode - but absolutely nothing stops LE from forcing you to provide biometric data to unlock the device.
