My memory goes back to the NSA combined with AT&T spying in San Francisco from the 2000s, of course. That was the first time I remember knowing, for sure, that the spy agencies were spying on millions of Americans whenever they possibly could… And some of us cared about it, but the vast majority of the population either didn’t listen or didn’t care. If they didn’t care then, then of course they didn’t care about Snowden, or Assange, or [insert whistleblower’s name here]. And that’s not to...

Was that the evil guy who died ironically and nobody actually was sad about it, which is even more ironic? That guy?

No. I dislike people saying "everyone is doing this annoying thing" when it's quite obvious that a large percent of the local and global population are not doing it. Going on a rant is great, but you gotta be factual or it's a waste of everyone's time to listen. Have some decency, please.

Kids don't have unfettered access if they are supervised, lol. And age gating will fail regardless. So it's a failure followed by another failure, sigh.

And it's pretty easy to see how this will burn the students who thought that they had saved a couple of years. If an employer asks for a copy of your transcript, what are you going to give them? ... Or maybe you'll falsify a transcript, but if you were going to do that then why did you pay $4,000...

I love how Fortune is presenting this as like maybe the CEOs had been deceptive. They are admitting it which means they pretended otherwise for a while and now they finally have to tell the truth... Except Fortune was selling the same line, right there together with the CEOs. Has Fortune apologized for its own part propping up this bubble, when everyone knew it was largely nonsense?

This question is what you ask when you want to get your employees fighting against each other and not against the boss who is stealing all of their money. The first step would be to fix wage theft and then the second step might be to get rid of the ultra rich, or maybe those could be done in the reverse order. At some point long after those things are accomplished we could talk about how people get jealous when they see someone else who apparently gets privileges that they wish they had. And s...
