America today: "...they put him on a plane without telling him where it was headed and left him in a prison in a country he had never heard of, where nobody ever accused him of anything. @davidculley@hachyderm.io That's dictator chic, formerly known (pre-1688) as monarchism 1) steal because unaccountable 2) run massive debt on stolen assets because unaccountable 3) claim danger to self/family and demand militant protection or disappear into island exile Charles I and Louis XVI both hit step 2 and met creditors who demanded a parliament. When they reached for step 3 they met a violent end (one raised an army, one ran for the border). "Ask me sometime why Charles I h...

RE: https://mastodon.social/@nixCraft/117369225190039735 some of us have been saying this for longer than OpenAI and Anthropic have existed. In 2012 I called it the Loch Ness problem. In 2016 I said Tesla AI would kill a lot of people because of such poor design. we will never find the AI monster, as the whole game is selling a mythological fear while failing to do the basics.

I'm getting inbound requests from large investors to explain SpaceX news. What has this world come to when people can't see what's right in front of their eyes? I guess I'll have to write it up because nobody else is? Why?

#spacex before launch: this will be our first marathon, defined by 10 laps. it's 2026 so we're right on schedule for our 2016 promise to have this done by 2017. #spacex after failure: we quit early after one lap, and we are declaring mission success for that lap. things are great and we puked our guts out so everything is exactly how we said it would go. https://apnews.com/article/spacex-starship-orbit-262d3c58d56bf7a525b49115d6c5dfe8

Tesla Robotaxi fraud exposed by @electrek@mastodon.online "...8 is rough. That’s essentially where the service started in June 2025. Fifteen months later, after a “launch,” a Cybercab reveal, and hundreds of new registrations, the number of Tesla robotaxis actually carrying people in Austin in a given week hasn’t moved [beyond eight active]. That’s entirely because if Tesla deploys the system at scale, it would face too many accidents." https://electrek.co/2026/09/22/tesla-robotaxi...

Detroit ran "cars don't kill people, bad drivers do" for decades until Nader made the design the subject. It's the AI. Calling the people using it "stupid" grants the AI vendors the loophole. It's how AI Tesla keeps killing its "stupid" drivers.

RE: https://toad.social/@KimPerales/117293150529626534 The only way this makes seems is in context of Trump saying he will "deport" 20 million people. That is a chart of concentration camp capacity. Forced labor is the next phase of fascism. When someone says "but the water" think about all the times Trump has complimented North Korea. Labor camps may turn off water, by design.
