  the US economy GDP is about $33 trillion while Canadian GDP is about 2.5 trillion total (not net ) imports from Canada are about 300 billion total (not net) exports are abou 420 billion so lets assume a fantasy world where trade STOPS the US will barely notice; trade is about 1% of GDP Canada will see its economy crater as exports are about 10% of GDP of course, this is a silly agument, for several reasons but still
