  Always pleased when my electronics repair skills help someone. Today I fixed two broken VCRs for my step dad, who yes, does indeed still use VCRs! I'll take them back to him next weekend and hopefully return with more broken VCRs

  Having a night where I'm missing going out to see live bands loads around London. So many brilliant gigs seeing the likes of Kyrb Grinder, The Spindle Sect, Black Iris, Elephant 12. Not to mention the bestest band of all Mötley Künst! (I might be slightly biased there!) I'm so glad I bought their CDs and EPs back then and can listen to them tonight

  Keyboard died....ordered a new one....not arriving for 7 to 10 days. I'm sadly relegated to "keyboards that make my wrists hurt" in the meantime. Not ideal

  With my need for a new keyboard, I know the fashion is for half size keyboards, but I really like the numpad and arrow keys. Thankfully there's a solution! My new half size keyboard with all my favourite keys!

  A hill I will die on: If your app asks me "Tell us what you think of our app", and saying yes opens the app store review page, you are lying to me. Feedback and public reviews are absolutely not the same thing. I don't mind if you ask me to leave a review, but if you ask me for feedback, and you mean leave a public review, I will have a bad view of your company or app

  My new keyboard arriived on Monday and all week it's felt like being very drunk and trying to type, to the point I'm using a typing teacher website to attempt to actually get confident and proficient with it. It's very geared around the classic 10 finger touch typing method (with a little modification since it uses thumb clusters for many meta and modifier keys) I'm definitely improving but it's slow going and quite frustrating at times

  I have given up with the weird keyboard, 2 weeks of constant use in and I still cannot even get to 5% of my typing speed, and it's so much worse than that trying to do any programming. I think the proportions of my hands means my fingers can't reach the needed keys, and my thumbs can't reach half the meta keys in the thumb clusters. I shall sell it on via ebay and hopefully recoup some of the cost, and I've already ordered something closer to "normal&amp...

  It's incredibly painful to live in a zscaler world where all your connections are MITM "attacked" The definition of zero trust seems to be 100% trust in zscaler and if they ever have a security breach literally everything that isn't separately E2E encrypted can be stolen wholesale I have to figure how out how to live in this new world in a way where I can actually listen to music while I work, or I have to find a new job :S

  I need to do some programming for fun to remind myself I don't hate tech. Maybe I should try and do some zx spectrum assembly, or try and make that x86 bios option ROM I keep thinking about
