Going Live Now! My Sound Design Sundays stream returns today! We're back on the Sketch to Song train. Today we're looking at maybe, possibly, finishing things up! Probably not, but I can dream... https://www.youtube.com/live/i2OMCsbawig Today, 12:30 PDT (Pacific/Los Angeles) #SoundDesignSundays #SketchToSong #LiveStream

RE: https://ravenation.club/@etherdiver/117106702766395477 Oof, a rough one! Technical difficulties with audio for the first 30 mins! A looong digression into ranting about various Bastards of the Music YouTube World! But ALSO some good discussion on the role of timbre in modern music and even a little bit of progress on the track!

I am going to start being more aggressive with accounts I think are responding via bots of any kind, LLM or otherwise. That shit is unacceptable, and frankly, if I mistake a human for a bot, it probably says more about the way the human is acting than it does about me.

Got let go from a side gig that I'd had for 3 months, despite more than doubling their sales over that period (from ~$700 when I took over to $1850 in June), because I needed to simplify the accounting and make a minor (less than $3 on a $100+ sale) tweak to commission structure. Lost about $500/month. But they were by far the biggest PITA clients I had. Sometimes the trash takes itself out.

So, Wednesday afternoons are increasingly no longer a great time for me to stream. And, honestly, I am not sure they were ever a great time for an audience (tho I deeply appreciate the crew that makes it nearly every week!). So the question becomes, when? Let's poll! When should I stream my sound design/music production videos?

Hey, I may have some #paid #writing work if anyone is looking, BUT it is for my day job and there are some serious subject matter expertise requirements. That said, if you are a writer and know pickup trucks and/or the larger auto industry, HMU via chat (or email iametherdiver at the gmail).

I'm making my usual #BandcampFriday plea: if you love music, consider spending as much today on music at Bandcamp as you do every month on music streaming subs. One $10 sale can make an artist's day-- and put as much money in their pocket as ~5000 or more streams!
