RE: https://kind.social/@wehpudicabok/117317910370913792 Best thing I've read this week: The internet is a store but it used to be a library. (And sadly it is now turning into a sewer or graveyard... thanks capitalism!) 🧟

RE: https://eupolicy.social/@edri/117320524965181748 Social scoring? The #EU is slowly turning into #China. The only way to not be surveilled is to go and live off-grid in a cabin in the woods... 😩

RE: https://oldbytes.space/@eobet/116471920265041799 Ah, just found out that this is #Frazetta art because of course. Originally a cover for Burroughs’ "The Outlaw of Torn" (1973 edition), I doubt this one was officially licensed because the SSI logo is right across his signature! 😆

Two seemingly high profile #documentary movies recently dropped in full on #Youtube (both about the #environment and man made #ClimateChange backed by famous actors). Is this a new trend to try to get younger people to watch documentaries? 🌍️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhDdAONYZeQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3mRsvFmWi0

I needed something send to people who aren't aware of the issues with #AI but couldn't find anything comprehensive and authoritative enough, so I compiled a page of links that hopefully can provide enough evidence... 🚫🤖 #NoAI #LLM #Techbros #DataCenters #Capitalism https://eobet.com/fun/llms/

@kims@mas.to sounds like an extortion racket but it’s legal?

@matrix@mastodon.matrix.org let’s wait and see how quickly that spike in the graph drops off when people start to actually try to use Matrix…

@pixelfed@mastodon.social I was going to show this to a friend but was very surprised I could not find a slideshow mode for my profile anywhere in the app. Moving between photo to photo and viewing it in full screen was very cumbersome!

RE: https://oldbytes.space/@eobet/111506514738292128 Was just reminded that the home console version of Outrun 2006 is 20 years old this year (although I'm playing the arcade version below), and still no game released since then has managed to improve on the gameplay! 😎 Also, it's now been as long since Outrun 2006 was released as the time between it and the original Outrun's release, so where is Outrun 3? 😭 #RetroGaming
