Here is your periodic reminder that the ONLY thing you need to do to be a musician is to make music. The ONLY thing you need to do to be an artist is to make art. The ONLY thing you need to do to be an athlete is to play sports. There is no gate to keep. There is no bar to entry. Do it. You don't have to turn everything you do into a side hustle, and you don't have to do things at a professional level to be allowed to do them. Paint something. Write a song. Dance. Run. Make a sculpture...

Second album cover illustration! I meant to share this yesterday, and got sidetracked. In my stream I made the illustration that I'm planning on using for my 2nd album "Xeno-Derelict A-471", which is coming out on bandcamp.com NEXT FRIDAY.

Kinda wild to me that I essentially 'missed' an entire revision of Blender. Been so busy with my non-3D contract that I haven't really experienced any part of 5.0, and 5.1 comes out this week!

Personal opinion: In today's market, using add ons and tools that will "Let you complete a project in minutes!" are going to hurt you more than help you if you aren't careful. Not saying don't be *fast*, but if you're getting there with premade assets - where is the value? When you use premades, GO SLOW. Use them as jumping off points, not a way to speed up the process. The people that think they need those things will never listen to someth...

The "Don't Like It, Don't Watch It" response only applies if there are no broader issues that need to be discussed. "Don't like the country, just don't go there" shouldn't apply to vicious dictatorships, as an example of why quiet "boycotts" can be bullshit.

"Free updates for life" only works if the purchase-base continually grows. Blender users are getting upset about the new licensing rules from Superhive, but...you don't HAVE to upgrade Blender. Users have gotten spoiled, but in a shrinking economy, things change.

https://etherdiver.bandcamp.com/album/the-mechanics-of-mysticism is @etherdiver's newest album, and it's *excellent*. What's it sound like? Beyond "electronic", it's uplifting but not cheesy, complex but not too esoteric, and boppy without being repetitive. You should check it out :)
