If you want to "protect the children", start listening to them! Stop believing in fossil fairytales, start listening to the experts... "$1 billion would be far better spent on funding home insulation to make energy use more efficient, or accelerating the growth of renewable energy. Meanwhile in the UK... "millionaires asking Andy Burnham to tax them more... We can afford it. We're not talking about higher taxes on those who get up and go to work for their income every day, but on the very richest whose income is derived from the wealth they hold." Another example that shows they won't flee if you tax the rich a little bit more. Small change, big positive impact. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgjp79m42go #UKpol #NZpol #TaxTheRich

Chilly & relaxed Saturday... 10-15km/h wind (SSW), 5.1C but feels much colder. After a trip to the local Vitamin, Fiber & Mineral Dealer (farmer's market) it's time to stay inside and decide what to do next: finish & publish a blog post, tweak back-end of one of the blogs or work on the next steps of the #HomeAutomation project... Or do it all! 😆 #WeekendVibes #blogger

Just a chilly start of the day: -2.34C. Sunday's mood... Thor's Cup Norwegian #FarmhouseAle by #GarageProject while playing Parks #boardgame. So why is there a #crochet penguin sitting on a coffee cup? Good question... When playing Parks with 2 people there's an invisible player active called Ranger Teddy. So Frosty the #penguin - a crochet creation by @eswoooo - has stepped in as Ranger Teddy. Now it's Frosty's Cup next to Thor's Cup 😆 #CraftBeer

Prohibition Porter by Liberty Brewing 🇳🇿 has a special place in my hoppy & malty heart. Their 2017 edition is where it all started... Seeing the beauty that lies in darkness. Barrel aged magic. This 2022 version was the last one of my Prohibition Porter stash... And the last of the bottled version. Now all that remains are the modern canned versions. #CraftBeer #stouturday #BarrelAged #porter #NewZealand

As it's almost impossible to get some plant-based burger patties in NZ nowadays... Morningstar, Bird's Eye, even Impossible and Beyond seem to have left the market... It's time to create 'em yourself. DIY patties. Tasty attempt nr. 1 😋 Good mix of TVP, beans and breadcrumbs... Next time add some vital wheat gluten as well. Combined with Nu-Dairy's plant-based cheese and condiments it was the perfect Thursday lunch. #vegan #vegetarian #foodie #PlantBased...
