  Seems like Amazon AWS is sending out false billing estimates. I just got an alert that the estimated bill would be $326,782,362.18. As I don’t actually use AWS the normal bill is 0. Their support pages says they are having some issues with billing estimates.

  I just bought a new UniFi cloud gateway to replace the aging USG I had been using. At checkout there was a “memory surcharge“ added to the price. First time to see that so explicitly.

  Got an international driving license today. Surprisingly smooth and quick, with very friendly and helpful staff. It did mean going all the way into Kyoto on a weekday. At least I didn’t have to go to the driving test centre which is in the middle of nowhere.
