interesting; it looks like Anthropic quietly pulled their donation of $150,000 in AI token credits to Omarchy. they no longer appear as a patron and this announcement post has scrubbed any mention of them. backlash… kind of works sometimes? https://omarchy.org/news/2026/09/omacom-foundation-secures-tokens-from-leading-labs/

the tech industry fervor over Omarchy is so fucking confusing to me that i'm honestly starting to wonder if it's just money laundering. over TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS for a fascist's dotfiles and bash scripts is patently insane

Ages ago, when I was still a student, I taught myself Ruby on Rails for my senior thesis and fell in love. Fifteen years later, and I’ve used Rails at every job I’ve ever held in the tech industry. Fifteen years, and I still love Rails! But there’s something rotten at its core, and we share a name. https://davidcel.is/articles/rails-needs-new-governance

RE: https://xoxo.zone/@davidcelis/115232432583137819 since he's making the rounds again, it's probably a good time to re-share my post that shows how DHH has been a racist shitbag (and, yes, actual fascist) for a long time now

i posted this extremely recently, but i guess it just became even more relevant: just stop using Google. it’s already awful, it’s about to get even worse, and better alternatives exist. after 20+ years of Googling for free, i never thought i’d pay for search, but i like Kagi enough to do it. https://aftermath.site/google-search-ai-changes/

i always use the same recipe for my sourdough pizza, but i tried a tweak this time and subbed out 20% of the 00 flour for Cairnspring Mills' Trailblazer bread flour and got really good results!! not only was the bread itself way tastier, but i got my first consistently puffy crust
