A frustrating footnote to the #salsaonstclair shooting: I know this is minor compare to the loss of human life, but the Toronto Police’s sole reliance on Twitter for disseminating emergency messages is simultaneously galling, frustration and dangerous. I live one block away from the festival, and trying to find out if it was safe for a friend to walk home last night. Google helpfully informs me that the police had locked down the area. But what streets? #topoli #fediverse
