"We brought the package to your doorstep, then put a notice in your mailbox informing you that we needed you to sign for it and since no actual attempt was made to see if you were home (we don't know who was waving as we drove away), the package has been returned to the void."

Sometimes we don't know what we think until we write it down. Sometimes we have to reread it a few times. Sometimes that just adds confusion. ๐ค

The orange bloviating shitgibbon says that AI isn't a concern, it just needs regulation. This from the guy who absolutely hates helpful regulations and safeguards, so you know that if it isn't yet a full blown problem, it soon will be.

The country of Canada does not have a ban on US alcohol sales. Any such decision is made at the provincial level and some provinces still provide consumer access to these products. This doesn't change the consumer's right not to buy it.

We've been saving the 'he's gone' celebratory champagne for so long that we decided to have it last night to drown our 'he's still not gone' sorrows instead. We can always buy another bottle for the happy day.

I'm not only angry, but also deeply saddened. Knowing so many wonderful people in the U.S., including some close friends and even internet acquaintances who I consider friends.. a beautiful thing. Despite this, I recognize and acknowledge that the country as a whole has irreparably damaged our relationship and with it, any chance for many of us of ever visiting again.. ๐ and it closes our wallets.

Dogs are not allowed on our condo complex property and we often have to remind people in the neighbourhood not to let their dogs crap in our yard.. It's not a park. We say nothing if the dogs just want to lay in the shade of a tree on a scorching hot day.

Did you know that during heatwaves you can make regular trips to the walk-in cooler at the local liquor store and not buy anything? They tend to frown on you bringing a lawn chair though.

Our condo unit does not have air conditioning, however, our building's hallways and large lobby do. Sleeping in the lobby hasn't happened yet, but hanging out in the lobby is nice reprieve during heatwaves. I'm sure no one leaves their unit door open to the air conditioned hallway. ๐
