I see lots of people getting interested in NetBSD recently to reduce their reliance on the Linux kernel and parts of its ecosystem they are unhappy with (e.g. systemd, glibc, flatpak, wayland, etc.) I think this is a good idea! However, I would probably avoid trying to completely divest yourself of that world right away. The BSDs (and other less mainstream operating systems) have thousands or millions of times less work put in (for both time and money) and so there will inevitably be gaps, bugs...

⚡ just patched @asie&#39;s uxnds to add basic socket support. [1] 😎 it works well enough to run my nanochat client! [1] we&#39;re basically emulating the behavior of netcat, which we currently run in uxn11 using the subprocess extension

My stance on the current trend of using The Lesser Key of Solomon at work and in one&#39;s personal life: 1.
