Desktop PWA support is still … man, I don't know. - Chrome-based browsers: support tabs, but I can't get deeplinks to work 👎🏼 - Vivaldi: no tab support, in the past swallowed `alert()`, `prompt()` etc. whole 😬 - Safari: no tabs 🤷🏻‍♂️ - Firefox: I'm too lazy to search for an emoji to express my feelings regarding the sorry state of Firefox on macOS (no scripting support, generally a black box, no PWA, …)

Started working on Euro localization for BarCuts. German first (for obvious reasons), followed by Italian, French, Spanish, & Polish. Been postponing l10n for a while, but it's time. Had an interesting clanker-related idea to achieve good quality, we'll see. https://actions.work/barcuts

#ProductHunt is a *fantastic way* to get involuntarily noticed by a thousand different hustlers and signed up to their newsletters. (I don't think PH itself is at fault but I guess they get scraped a lot.)

Etwas älterer, aber hochaktueller Text von @grimm. > Es wird langsam wärmer, aber schneller schlimmer. Anders gesagt: Temperaturen steigen gleichmäßig-linear.

RE: https://norden.social/@czottmann/116749960403208121 I updated pi-automode earlier today with a cosmetic change: the status line entry is much smaller now. QoL it's important! #pi

Do I know anybody who participated in BundleHunt as a developer, with their own apps? I was invited to join one of the next rounds, and I wonder whether that's a good idea or not. What were your experiences, would you do it again? #indieDev #apps #bundleHunt #macOS

Keine neuen Tankrabatte. Keine höhere Pendlerpauschale. Keine neuen Dieselgeschenke. https://mitmachen.duh.de/deutschlandticket/?wc=NL_DI_260428 (Nebenbei: Wir sind auch Klimaklagen-Paten der DUH. Das ist...

#Xcode, the perfect IDE for people who are already highly proficient in Xcode It's good once you got the hang of it but it's so fukken opaque in some regards. Dependency tree can't be built? You can get to the root of that using the CLI but you're not told that. Xcode doesn't surface it. Half-baked

Trying to set a Finder replacement as I did on Sequoia and earlier, but the setting doesn't survive logouts. Is `defaults write com.apple.LaunchServices/com.apple.launchservices.secure LSHandlers -array-add '{LSHandlerContentType="public.folder";LSHandlerRoleAll="…";}' broken on #macOS 26.4 #Tahoe?

"That's not who we are" can be correct on a personal or hyper-local level — but as a nation, to most of us looking in from the outside, that's definitely very much who you are. Not meant as a diss, just an observation.

Currently pitting semi-self-hosted¹ #Listmonk and #Notifuse against my current newsletter host #Buttondown. Want to know how they fare. I really like BD but my subscriber base is >1k which means I spend $29 on each monthly mail. Fiscally, that's not a winning proposition right now for me as I'm still not made of money, and all those costs add up. I need to bring my own mail server for both (or use one of the supported services, like SES or Postmark.)
