Alright...Asking the JAWS hive mind about this one. I'm noticing lately, like over the last couple or three months, JAWS randomly loses volume on my laptop. This isn't affecting any other software I'm running. This happened on JAWS 2023 as well as my recent install of 2026. Anyone else running Windows 11 experiencing this or know what may be causing it?

Alright…Initial stage of running the spotify cleaner is so far looking good. Not sure how close to ready for prime time we are, but…I have a good feeling about this one. Also put out a call to Drivecrash Data Recovery…I should get a call back within the hour on the status of my external drive. Then we’ll know if it’s a repair or a replacement I’m looking at. Either way, i hope the person who broke it does the right thing so I can avoid filing ccivil charges.

Hey all...I know I've not been on here much lately...Been on Facebook a ton. So after the West Virginia debacle, I'm safely in Oregon with family. Likely staying here as Iowa fell through for reasons I won't get into on here. So, northwest friends, I'm here for the duration and hoping to see as many of you as possible. Hope everyone's doing well.

Hard drive update...As some may remember, I sent it out on September 2. They finally received it at Drivecrash Data Recovery on Friday, and I'm just awaiting word on whether it's fixable or if it'll have to be replaced. Hoping for fixable, even though that'll be expensive. Researching ways to file small claims charges against the person responsible for the damage...hopefully without having to go back to WV to do so. Hey, maybe I'll look into one of those T...

Alright…Having a weird issue with the DA2 player from NLS. The iOS BARD app and the My Talking Books skill on Alexa are working great, so I’m starting to wonder if I got a defective player. So, I’m logged into BARD…I can search for books, add them to the wish list, read annotations, all that. However, when I go to download, without fail, they all give a “Download Failed” error. I’m connected toWiFi, and I’ve tried from diferent positions in the home. Thoughts from other users? Tempted to send it...

Heads up. No Radio show tomorrow, and possibly no-show on Friday. Hard drive had a little accident, so we are going to try some things to get it restored. If I can’t get it restored, maybe off the air even longer as this is the hard drive with all my music on it. Tune to Hunter tomorrow as he fills in for me. Not sure what’s going to happen for Friday. Hunter is doing an extended show filling in on happy days and on my show.
