@pqqq@eldritch.cafe Do you know about the filters on https://joinmastodon.org/servers? I find this page quite helpful to determine which instance to choose.

Great read by @tante "We should push towards more reliable software, more secure software, software that is accessible, that protects people against misuse and allows them to be as safe as possible in doing what they want to do. What do we get? Slop. "Slop generated by guys who – when called out for their irresponsible behavior – just start crying about how they only wanted to “share” or “inspire” or “educate” while handing out running chainsaws to kids." https://ta...

#CablesOfResistance had so many good talks; I wish more than just two rooms were recorded (even if only as audio versions). Maybe something to improve for next time :)

On my way to #CablesOfResistance and I'll be there all weekend. Feel free to ping me if you'd like to chat! I also have a few invitation codes for @airmessenger with me :)

In case anyone here is interested: https://balkonsolardeutschland.de/ currently has spring sales on solar panels for balconies and batteries. With the code PLANB2030 you get an additional 10% off. I already have a solar panel on my balcony but just ordered an Anker battery. There is currently also a 250 € grant for solar panels from the Investment Bank Berlin you should make use of. #solarpunk #solarenergie #solarpower

@nextcloud this seems to be quite a jump in version numbers, is this for real? 😯

Wow. What a spectacular long-read by @shibacomputer from @newdesigncongress! 👏 “When the server goes dark, we go dark, too. We’ve built an entire civilisation on an unthinkably brutal and comically unreliable stack while hallucinating it as literally anything else. We condemn AI today for making shit up, but what about us? […] We hallucinate that the server is somehow both ephemeral and eternal." https://newdesigncongress.org/en/pub/who-will-remember-us-when-the-servers-go-dark/

Hat jemand hier einen #Instagram- oder #Facebook-Account? Es gibt derzeit eine Sammelklage gegen Meta, der man sich kostenfrei anschließen kann.
