30 minutes of GTA VI One thing that stands out to me in this footage is how detailed both the indoor and outdoor scenes are. They clearly spent a lot of time making the environments feel lived in and organic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJbzMqJGH4k #VideoGames #GTA6 (Obligatory content warning on the video: Graphic violence)

After 59 years and a complete rebuild from the keel up, Tally Ho is back in England, where it was built in 1910. I started following the project on YouTube in 2021 or so. It's been quite the adventure to watch its weekly progress. https://youtube.com/watch?v=GFSVN-HZKTY #Sailing #England

#TIL if you're a #WebDev on #Linux you might want to put a `.nomedia` file in your project folders. GNOME's system-wide search will index project folders in your home directory. This includes nodes_modules/ and it wastes a lot of CPU time indexing those folders. The `.nomedia` file tells it not to index whatever folder that file is in. I noticed this in the “Resources” app when I had it sort by “Total CPU Time.”

RE: https://front-end.social/@anarodrigues/116579591167425751 THIS. And partly because on the job you so rarely get the freedom to go bananas. I remember before I got into freelance, Nebula.TV had a job opening and by all accounts I went bananas on my resume using #Inkscape. I got an interview BECAUSE I did that—they said the applications were all so homogeneous, it was fun to see something different.

@zeroase recently I was debugging unrelated ISP issues and I noticed that. During idle use, something like 90% of traffic was just snowflake. Most of the traffic was coming from Tehran, which checks out. Was neat to see evidence of it making a difference.

Saw "Project Hail Mary" tonight. It was captivating and well made. I forgot how awesome movies look in theaters. Though, it also reminded me why I'm not typically into action #movies. ``` while (currentTime < movie.length) { echo "Oh no, ${PROTAGONIST} is about to die!" echo "Phew, they did ${ACTION_SEQUENCE} just in the nick of time!" } ```
