Tenant organizing is effective y'all! 💪🏻 https://www.thestar.com/real-estate/parkdale-tenants-end-six-month-rent-strike-after-landlord-withdraws-agi-request/article_7c9c98c6-e258-4a99-976a-3836d71f00f4.html I bumped into a fellow TTU organizer after painting the half pipe yesterday, it was really nice to catch a friendly face in the wild ✨ https://www.tenantunion.ca/ #Toronto #TorontoTenantUnion #TenantUnion

Tax the rich and they'll leave? Sounds like an oil well. Tax the rich and invest the spoils in a sovereign wealth fund managed for the public good, for financial stability when the well runs dry. #EatTheRich #FuckCapitalism

We got these really nice looking shower shelves on an extending post... Except there's no spring. It twists into place and adds no tension, so the shelving unit immediately falls out of the corner I'm trying to salvage it with pads of Alien Tape in the corner of each shelf, but I've never used that in a wet environment like a shower. I'm expecting the shelving unit to fall at the worst moment once it's loaded up 🫤

Web developers, please don't get cute with numeric entries. Twice while typing a CC number the field locked me out of backspacing to correct a mistake. Why? What psyduck did they assign that decided that was a shippable feature?

I really dig the effect of the trees out my window being illuminated, with Marty's orange floof in the dark. Really trips up the automatic white balance on my phone's camera and turns Marty into a cryptid ✨ #Cats #CatsOfMastodon #Caturday

Wooo! #BikeParty was a blast! Great music, thanks to all the riders with amazing sound systems 🎶✨ I think I did pretty well decking Cargot Robbie out for 15 minutes at Dollarama and 15 minutes of painting and assembly 😎✨ Got separated from the group a few times trying to make sure no one got left behind alone. Thanks to the foresight of the organizers we were able to get back to the group each time 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #BikeTooter #Toronto

@vie@hachyderm.io Essentially yes. I might argue that the overall industry in which software developers work functions to undermine labour power, and has for long time ☹️ I'm a former software developer and I left in part because of my discomfort with the lack of thought or support offered to those whose jobs get automated. I think the industry selects for a specific individualistic mindset, whether intentionally or not, and I don't find the lack of solidarity or caution surprising 😮‍💨
