Cooking is a big part of my steez (I cook most days, most meals). While a lot of people tend to show off their own recipes, I love following other people’s #recipes. I think I’m going to make more of an effort to share what I’m cooking, if that’s your thing.

@rizzi Any chance you're willing to share how you did the YouTube support in the latest Reeder? I'd like to add YouTube support to my app but am struggling to figure out a reliable solution.

Statistically, I spend more time in CI fixing failures due to upstream changes than mistakes in my code.

I’ve been building an app for the last year. It’s not the one I thought I was going to build, but I realized one day I’d gone so far, it’d be a waste not to see it through. It’s finally in a good enough state that I think I can share the beta with other folks so I can really learn where the rough edges are. Introducing LightWatch, a visual RSS watcher. It’s your feeds, but just the images and videos. https://getlightwatch.app

TIL If you take a screenshot in mobile safari, it gives you the option to screenshot the *entire* page. That's neat.

In honor of Deep Dish Swift and the first year I'm participating with an app of my own, I've made it easy for you to follow your pizza in LightWatch. There's now a lightly curated pizza themed feed to get you started. https://getlightwatch.app/for/pizza

Ok, I’ve figured out a conference talk to give. Now I just need 43 minutes of stuff to say between the two jokes I came up with.

The most effective security training I’ve ever seen was a GitHub security engineer who quietly traveled between unlocked, unattended laptops at a company all-hands, posting the phrase “poopin” to the owner’s Twitter account. A whole company educated forever in 48 hours. Mythos sounds scary but imagine a sanctioned, corporate white hat phishing agent with a similarly benign payload. Everyone would stay on their does, *knowing* it was coming for them.

After listening to my elementary school aged children talk for approximately 3 minutes, I’m thinking that putting VC money into a urinalysis device called iCup is going to be a sure fire windfall.

@ObsidianUrbex I just discovered your account and your work is awesome. Any chance you'd consider updating the RSS feed on your website with the same stuff you post here? I'm building an app for following visual-focused RSS feeds (https://getlightwatch.app/) and while Mastodon RSS works fine, your dedicated RSS would be more ideal. However, it hasn't been updated in a couple of years and seems to only include one image per post, vs the multiple you share here.
