  Castle Slowly Being Eaten by Red Vines #watercolour #watercolor #ink #drawing #illustration #art #mastoart #Fediart #fantasy #castle

A digital sketch I did earlier today. Enjoyed the dry ink brush used to create a stubbly, inexact effect. Interpret it however you will. #Mastoart #DigitalArt #Fediart #MyArt #Sketch #art #illustration #scifi #robot #giant

A whinge about #ChatGPT now...rarely use it, but in this case needed some fast instructions on some techniques for Logic Pro so away I went. Aside from the sycophantic responses that congratulated me lavishly for basic human cognition (that's an astounding observation...repeat, etc...) it kept making error after error because it gave me instructions for older versions of Logic Pro - then my free account session was suspended for too many prompts - only because of the mistakes. Seriously?

This illustration was made without too much conscious thought. What was curious about the whole process was that the conscious thought came after looking at the completed work. A giant, cracked egg can mean many different things, it turns out. #Mastoart #Fediart #Art #Illustration #Poster #abstract #AbstractArt #curious #MyArt

Explorations in the Land of Giants No.12 They came and settled a tiny pocket of a giant sized world, where a single banana could feed them all for weeks on end. It wasn’t until J.D. Murcher wrote of his settlement’s discovery of a smoked sausage longer than five men and women stretched out end to end that readers began to take renewed interest in their endeavours, however. Some scholars suggested that occurred in 1816. #Mastoart #Fediart #Art #Illustration #Poster #abstract #AbstractArt

Ugh, for the last two weeks every creative impulse I've had seems like it's not worth the effort. Am going through one of those 'why bother?' cycles. My day job has me inundated with shit I have little interest in. It will pass.

Progression of this work in progress. I used a photocopy of the original as I wasn't ready or willing to destroy it. I will likely finish the entire original and then see what can be done about the foreground building once it is completed. Needless to say, it has been fun working on alternatives using the cut out copy. #fantasy #art #mastoArt #Fediart

A moment where I knew I had screwed up and then just kept making it worse - I'm talking about the building on the lower part of the drawing. But out of the mistake comes opportunity - I am now going to attempt to cut out the offending part and go for an inlay collage of multiple glued down layers instead. Turn a frustrating moment into one of potential? 😜 #mastoArt #fediart #art #sketch #drawing #fantasy

The quest continues to fix up this fantasy art drawing. Now reverting to cutting and pasting down new drawings. I think I'll be going with the dragon in the foreground. #mastoArt #fediart #art #dragon #castle #fantasy #workinprogress

This drawing began with a shape formed with a Derwent Chromaflow (Scarlet 0500) pencil on Lana A5 Drawing Paper. Grainy paper created the rough, textured effect which helped achieve a subliminal effect. The drawing was then scanned at high res & the background erased away in Affinity Photo. I love the process of using analog art alongside a digital process. Would love to know your thoughts and what it might convey to you. #Fediart #Mastoart #Art #Surrealism #pencil #drawing

Can someone in the #Monsterdon family explain when and how you play along? I jumped in today in the thick of things and just wasn't sure if I was breaking anything

My third female character for our #TTRPG #Slugblaster - this is Delainey, a hard core member of the crew called BRB. Worked harder to refine my #digitalArt #comic style on this one and bring in additional #popculture icons. Also setting about more elaboration on the mechanics of the hoverboard, as seen here. #mastoart #Artfight #art #sciFi

Staring at this on and off for days wondering what detail to add. It started out more refining #gouache a bit better ... I mean, I am absolutely falling in love with this medium and being acrylic gouache, I can use #watercolour on top. I think I am having one of those commitment issues where I don't want to wreck what is supposed to be a background layer only because I feel the need to add something more. This probably sums in the kind of June I'm having anyway. #mastoart #art #...

I'm looking forward to 4 new exhibitions at my local art centre here in Melbourne, Australia. It's opening Saturday 2PM. I really love supporting art in my local area. And because it's a 100m walk from my place, it really is local! https://arts.darebin.vic.gov.au/Arts-venues/Bundoora-Homestead-Art-Centre/Exhibitions/Current-exhibitions #local #art #melbourne #australia

It feels a little surreal when I see a lot of people here posting about the #heatwave when I'm here in #Melbourne #Australia in winter-time and it's freezing (well, cold...) and I'm wishing for summer to come. Hope everyone in the northern hemisphere dealing with this is OK.

Have been digging through old art journals and found something nice. Painted about 15 years ago when I was into acrylics. #Mastoart #Fediart #landscape #acrylic #acrylicPainting #countryside #art #painting

It's #ArtFight attack number 1. Osric's sister lost her head after taking the fall for Osric's crime. Makes for really bad-hair days. #DigitalArt #Mastoart https://artfight.net/attack/13570743.bad-hair-day

I have been getting back to my roots by drawing little scapes in #scifiArt and #fantasyArt themes. It takes me back to a very early age where cheap biros and HB pencils on parent-stolen office supplies never left my sight #mastoArt #Art
