Something to watch out for in macOS 27’s Terminal.app: Have you been noticing that, starting with macOS 27, you have been consistently failing to SSH to a remote machine? Is it the case that the remote machine’s password ends with a shifted character? There is a new setting: “Shift Return sends Meta Return” under Settings > Profiles > (profile) > Keyboard. I’m spending my evening ripping CDs like it’s 1999. I’m also in complete shock that the canonical tool to do this on the Mac, XLD, is four-way universal: ppc32, x86, x64, and aarch64. I genuinely don’t even know how I would accomplish such a software feat if I had to.
