  I just asked a junior member of my team to go through some customer feedback and add the customer issue number to our relevant jira item so that it comes up in search. he, very reasonably, put them in a comment attached to the appropriate issue. JIRA SEARCH has no easy way to query for text in comments. one has to write a JQL Query each time. what the actual fuck.

  how do normal people create bitmap fonts. i have images of a dot matrix display that i want to trace as references. all the workflows that i've been able to pull together are absolutely fucked, three or more different gui programs. setting aside that most normal people do not live a life where they need to draw a raster font

  something i learned recently that probably should be more widely known. There is no such thing as a two-extinguisher fire. In the time it will take to locate a second fire extinguisher, the fire will likely grow beyond your ability to control. If you can't put the fire out with the first extinguisher, it is time to leave.
