Immunotherapy for yellow jacket 🐝 Anyone done it? I’m trying to decide if the benefits outweigh the risk, cost, and frequency of the treatment are worth it. Carrying two epi pens everywhere isn’t a really big deal… I do need something waterproof to carry them in for when I am on my paddle board etc. While I’m diligent about having them with me, there’s a concern I’ll forget them.

If you have a prostate, get it checked! 6 weeks post chemo for stage 4 Good news from hubby’s oncologist on Monday morning - she said "everything looks great". The CT scan was reassuring as it showed no progression of the cancer. There were some 'flares' on the nuclear bone scan, but they are likely due to the treatment - after successful therapy for metastatic disease, the healing processes of new bone formation can cause an initial increase in tracer upta...

Canadians… Didn’t get the long-form census? Me neither. But Tod Maffin made a hilarious long-form censure you can complete, and he’s publishing the results. You can take it now at https://census.todmaffin.com

Just over a week past hubby’s 5th out of 6 chemo treatments. This crazy, horrible, shocking journey started at the beginning of January with a stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis. He’s responded well to the triple therapy treatments (still feels awful from them, especially for the first 7-10 days after, but so much better than he was before treatment started) and the oncologists are encouraged. There is also the knowledge that no one knows if (or more likely when) the cancer will fight its w...
