Last night I deployed a new #NixOS config which declaratively specifies all Syncthing folder relationships across all systems in my fleet. The syntax remains peculiar but Nix is the most fun I’ve had experimenting with computers since the 90s.

For #BlackMetalMonday here is, of course, SIGH. I’m going to see them live for the first time this Friday. Never thought that would happen. So very psyched! 🤘 https://peaceville.bandcamp.com/album/shiki

Feeling wonder and amazement for the kind of technology our kind can make, watching Earth slowly get bigger on a live stream of a lunar spacecraft about to land.

A fascinating look at "Delrama" lenses. I had no idea these specialized anamorphic adapters - made in The Netherlands - were used in so many movies. Even in Star Wars miniature shots! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOMCzMHFhto

Cool video highlighting some the best game animation of 2025. I'm happy to see these games spotlighted as I feel animation is often underappreciated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tjx04QtiQ1c

Putting on the good headphones for this. The new SUNN O))) album is awesome. A much more diverse and interesting (to me anyway) record than anything they've released before. With exquisite production. https://sunn.bandcamp.com/album/sunn-o-2 #metal #dronemetal #sunn

Hah. Just roll down the window shades to block out the bothersome ambient light coming from PLANET EARTH. Not something I've ever heard said before.
