"Bertelsen's number" When doing primes, it's easy to make mistakes. My trusted copy of Hardy and Wright cites 50847478 as the value of π(10E9). There are tons of books and articles that have this number. It is wrong. In a somewhat epic conjunction of misfortune, that erroneous number has been erroneously ascribed to Bertelsen. But the error first appeared in Meissel (1885) and has been copied over and over. https://www.mathpages.com/home/kmath049/kmath049.htm

@johncarlosbaez@mathstodon.xyz "clocks have hands that move clockwise" sounds rather tautological. So, did the Bolivians also redefine the meaning of "clockwise"? 🤔

Toch?

@Pepijn Much of the expressive power lies in the pitch. Does music notation help? Perhaps https://musescore.com/user/39593079/scores/15582262 is a starting point.
